About ADA QuickScan

Our Mission

ADA QuickScan provides a free, simple way for government entities and organizations to test their website accessibility. With mandatory compliance deadlines approaching in 2026-2027, we believe every organization should have access to basic testing tools without expensive subscriptions or complex software.

Why We Built This

On April 24, 2024, the Department of Justice issued final rules requiring all state and local government websites to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. With over 90,000 government entities affected and 96% of websites currently non-compliant, we saw a critical need for accessible testing tools.

How It Works

  1. Enter your website URL
  2. We analyze it using Google's PageSpeed Insights API
  3. Get an instant accessibility score (0-100)
  4. See specific issues in plain English
  5. Learn how to fix each problem

Important Disclaimer

This tool provides basic accessibility testing only. While we use industry-standard metrics from Google's Lighthouse, this is not a comprehensive WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance audit. For full compliance verification, consider hiring accessibility professionals or using comprehensive paid tools.

The Compliance Deadlines

  • April 24, 2026: Entities with 50,000+ population
  • April 26, 2027: Entities with less than 50,000 population
